Walton Dining Commons

Located on the second floor of Walton Hall, the Dining Commons is the main student dining facility on campus. It features several stations in an open food court atmosphere with a gourmet deli bar and an expanded salad bar. In a hurry? We offer a great Simply-To-Go option with fresh pre-packaged salads, sandwiches, and wraps to take on the go.

The Dining Commons accepts meal plans and departmental charges, as well as, all major debit/credit cards, cash, Eagle Dollars, and Flex Dollars.

Winter Weather Notes: The Dining Commons does not close for winter weather events. Even if there is a power failure, the Dining Commons will be open. As always, be smart, listen to Campus Security, your RA, and other campus officials. If they say you should not leave your building, please don't leave your building.

Allergy/Gluten Information

My Zone is a gluten-free, peanut and tree-nut free area reserved for people with allergies and other special diet needs.

My Zone

  • My Zone: A separate serving line, in the dessert room, provide a hot entree, starch, and vegetable daily. Please contact Dining Services if you have any questions or concerns.
  • Cereal: We offer Rice Chex in our normal cereal line, and we keep a number of other gluten-free cereals in a special cabinet in near the My Zone area.
  • Salad Bar: We serve fresh local produce whenever possible.
    • We use almost exclusively fresh vegetables, just washed with tap water. Exceptions: We use canned beans, and occasionally canned specialty vegetables (such as baby corn, watercress, and chick peas).
    • Our dressings are almost all gluten free. The only exception is our Mandarin salad dressing.
  • Deli: We have gluten-free rice bread available upon request. Our deli turkey, chicken breast, and cheeses are all gluten free.
  • Grill: Many of our items can be special ordered without bread. Our gluten free items include: Hamburgers, veggie burgers, and grilled chicken.

We never use peanut oil.
