Plan Options

Meal Plans are your fast pass to on campus dining - with more bang for your buck. Dining on campus gives you the convenience of eating what and when you want, without having to leave campus in between classes, going shopping or cooking and cleaning your own dishes. 

We have meal plan options for resident students, commuter students as well as faculty and staff. See below for more detailed information on each meal plan. 

Meal Plans for the 2021/22 academic year




The 21 Meal Plan

This plan allow for 21 meal swipes per week, plus $50 in Flex. This plan is required for first year students.

The 15 Meal Plan

The meal plan allows for 15 meal swipes per week, plus $175 in Flex.

The 12 Meal Plan

The meal plan allows for 12 meal swipes per week, plus $250 in Flex.

The 7 Meal Plan

This meal plan allows for 7 meal swipes per week, plus $400 in Flex.

Other notes about these plans:

  • Can only use four meal swipes per day.
  • The Walton Dining Commons is the core of the resident meal plans, but all three dining venues on campus include meal options during their regular operating hours. Occasionally, the Breezeway and Zime may host special events outside normal hours where there is no meal option.
  • In Fall 2018, the Unlimited Meal Plan was discontinued. All students previously enrolled on the Unlimited Meal Plan have been switched to the 21 Meal Plan. If you have any questions about this, please contact any of the dining managers.
  • All of the resident meal plans have the same price, and they are included in the tuition bill.

All residents are automatically given a meal plan during the housing selection process. First year students are required to be on the 21 Meal Plan Upperclassmen choose their meal plan during Housing Selection Night in the spring semester. Upperclassmen can change their meal plan by clicking on the meal plan change form link below. Resident meal plans are linked to a student's housing assignment and they expire when the student's residency expires. Resident Flex accounts expire / refill between semesters.


Upperclassmen Meal Plan Change Form: You will need to be logged into your Eastern account before you can fill out this webform. If you change meal plans after classes start, your Flex dollars will be prorated according to this chart.

Commuter meal plans do not expire; they rollover semester to semester and year to year. After three semesters of inactivity they are cleaned from our database, but we keep paper records for seven years. Commuter meal plans are also non-refundable and non-transferable. 

Commuter meal plans are sold as "blocks" of 30, 50, or 75 meals.

Faculty/Staff Meal Plans for the 2021/22 academic year

The Faculty / Staff Block is a block of 20 meals, primarily for the Walton Dining Commons, but has access to meal options in the Breezeway and Jammin Java also.
